The Rise of Bogdan Bogdanovic: A Shooting Guard with a Bright Future (Yeah!)

I think I found Bogdan Bogdanovic in a book I was reading last week. He was the one with the basketball team that came to America a few years ago. A Shooting Guard is a cool title for this person because they play a sport with a hoop. He started playing in the big league, called the NBA, in 2016, and his name is on a special team called the Hawks.

When Bogdan Got Here

I don’t know exactly how he got here, but he got on the team a long time ago. He was 20 years old and showed a lot of impressive skills on the court. People like watching him play and they said, “Wow, this is really good!”

He Started Doing Better

Then in 2018, Bogdan went to another team, the Clippers, where he was part of the starting lineup. He got a natty (I think that’s the word for a gold award) and everyone thought he was doing great.

Now He’s with the Kings

I heard he joined another team called the Kings last year. He’s really good and the fans are excited about it. Bogdan loves to shoot shots and run fast.

A Big Contract

Bogdan signed a huge deal last month that makes him even richer. It’s 85 million dollars over 4 years. That’s a lot of money, but I’m sure Bogdan will make sure the team is okay.

Awards and Honors

I didn’t read everything in the article, but Bogdan was recognized for his skills. He even got honorable mentions from a bunch of teams.

Bogdan’s Family

He’s a Serbian boy and that’s where he grew up. He’s about 6 feet tall and has to climb over people sometimes to get around. He likes to watch soccer games with his friends.

He Got Sick

But I heard that Bogdan had a little problem. He had to get better. I don’t know how it is now, but he’ll probably be okay. We should go watch him play soon so he can do more basketball and get better.
